Hi, I'm Woody. I was born in upstate N.Y. in 1957. My first interest in
photography was at age 5. There is a photo of me in an old family
album photographing a rustic barn with my dad's camera. At age 13 I
bought some used darkroom equipment for $100.00. I then learned to
develop and print black and white pictures. I took a photography class
in high school. I continued to learn photography on my own after
moving to Georgia at 15.  I started a two year class in graphic arts my
junior year. After Graduating it was off to college. With all the technical
stuff behind me, I still had a yearning to learn the"art" of photography.
It was by chance that I met a photographer named "Nate" whose style I
really liked. One thing led to another and I ended up going to his studio
two nights a week for a year. He taught me how to see with that "third eye"
to pre-visualize my final photograph, before ever loading film in my camera.
In 1980 I started my own studio, Shadows & Shapes
Photography Studio. Since then I've taught photography classes and
my photos have won many awards. I have done several shows and have
had my work displayed in galleries in New York, Georgia, Florida and
California. Over 100 photos of my bikers lifestyles photos have been
published in most all the major motorcycle magazines. Today I'm on the
world wide web. I hope you enjoy looking at my gallery of photographs.
